Mo Power – R&J Batteries Proudly Participate in Movember 2018
R&J Batteries Power Like Mo-Thing Else
And that’s a wrap! For the month of Movember, R&J Batteries have been Powering Like Mo-thing Else, proudly participating in The Movember Foundation’s annual Movember campaign, which challenges men to grow a moustache and people to get physically active and Move – all of which sparks conversation and raises vital funds and awareness for men’s health.
Men’s health is close to our hearts here at R&J Batteries, which is why we decided to contribute to the Movember Foundation, a charity changing the face of men’s health. Together we aim to make a difference for men’s health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention, to stop men dying too young.
We assembled an all-star team of 44 employees from all departments across both Australia and New Zealand who gladly accepted the challenge to either grow a Mo or Move for the month of November.
We set out with a humble goal to raise $2,000 with Ray our generous Managing Director agreeing to chip in $2,000 is we achieved our target.
We soon realised that this target wasn’t challenging enough, after reaching our initial goal in just 2 days! As a team, we raised a Mo-numental grand total of $9,096.00.
Our R&J Batteries family embraced this challenge, “Congratulations team, I am so proud of what you have all done. I’m delighted to support you all and this worthy cause.” – Ray Robson
A special mention to our top 5 Mo Bros & Sistas, who have done a tremendous job, congratulation and thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Gary (Launceston) $1,156
Ed (Bayswater) $831
Joanne (Tullamarine) $800
Seean (Ballarat) $581
Daniel (Dubbo) $481
Also, a special mention to our Ballarat store for raising the most with a grand total of $1,708.00 and also to Launceston who came a close second raising a huge $1,288.00
Finally, congratulations to our Best Mo, our Mo-st determine, and our Top Mover winners. Thank you for getting involved and doing your bit to change the face of men’s health, raising awareness and funds.
Best MO: Ed (Bayswater)
Mo-st Determine: Jordy (Ballarat)
Top Mover: Sheryl 101km (Head office)
Last but not least, we would like to extend our gratitude to the greater R&J Batteries family for their generosity and support.
We look forward to bigger and better Mo’s next year.
