ACDelco & Holden Motorsport – Celebrating 50 years of association

ACDelco is celebrating 50 years since its first association with the Holden Dealer Team back in 1968.

Throughout the 70’s and 80’s the ‘AC Spark Plugs’ logo was prominent and synonymous with a succession of successful Holden race cars and icons like Brock, Harvey, Bond and Richards.

“AC” Spark Plug and “Delco” (originally Dayton Engineering Laboratories COmpany) merged back in the 1970’s to form “ACDelco” and become a global force for quality automotive parts to the aftermarket industry. Fast forward to today, and “AC’s” evolution into ACDelco has come full circle, with the announcement that the Australian and NZ arm of this global giant will be joining forces with the Red Bull Holden Racing Team for the 2018 season in the Supercars Championship Series.
